Embed Code Bug
Ai-Dealer Ai-Dealer 06 Feb 2010 16:11

There is a bug in wikidot that has crept in. My old sites where I embedded Google Maps (for instance) work fine. If I try to use the same code on a new site, I can get the old map to work, but any new Google Maps generate the Embed error the others have indicated.

The syntax of the Google maps html hasn't changed so it must (at least that is what I am thinking) be some internal check that wikidot does.

I have the same problem with all embedded programs… I just tried embedding the chat and got the same error.

Here's where to enter Urchin code for Google Analytics
axmc axmc 18 Nov 2008 02:42

For some reason I had trouble finding this through help / indexes

Goto yoursite.wikidot.com/admin:manage

Second from bottom on left hand side - 3rd Party Tools

enter your Urchin number UA-xxxxx-x that you got from Google Analytics

I was not able to use the [[embed]] [[\embed]] with the javascript from Google

if you go in admin:manage page of your wiki you will find an option where you can use google analytics by simply inserting your code (UA-3145384-1) in the proper field
Hope this help

Re: But has Google Analytics ever worked for anyone?

I have done all of the above. I now have the phrase and the red line around my page. Is there a counter that works?
