説明: SCP-3786-JPは山梨県██山中の標高2██メートル地点に位置する洞穴です。最初に発見された1か所を除いて内部につながる開口部は確認されていません。

SCP-3786-JPの開口部は、確認された限りあらゆる光、音、熱、電波を遮断するようであり、それにより外部から直接SCP-3786-JP内部を観測したり、内部の人間と連絡を取ることは不可能です。この性質のため、SCP-3786-JP内外の境界では急速に暗転しているように見えます。

人間に記録装置を装備させてSCP-3786-JP内部を撮影した際の映像は黒一色のみを映し、また一切の音声が記録されませんでした。トラッキング装置は、対象がSCP-3786-JPへの進入直後にその場で静止していることを示しました。自動ドローンでの調査も試みられましたが、事前のプログラムにも拘らずドローンは進入以降帰還していません。

SCP-3786-JPに進入した人間(以下、対象)は、事前の指示に関わらず数分から数時間後にSCP-3786-JPを退出します。退出した対象は肉体的には一切の異常がみられませんが、程度の差はあるものの、概して強く恐怖および憔悴した様子を見せます。場合によっては心的外傷後ストレス障害(PTSD)を発症することも確認されています。対象は、SCP-3786-JP内部での経験についての発言を強く拒否し、いかなる説得・脅迫によっても対象からSCP-3786-JP内部の情報は得られていません。記憶処理は有効ですが、それ以降も漠然とした不安感や恐怖心が報告される場合があります。

SCP-3786-JPの上部には、複数種の植物で粗雑に造られた十字架型の墓碑のような構築物が存在します。その下の地中からはそれぞれ異なる衣服を着用した、多数の人間の子供の死体が一箇所にまとめて埋められているのが発見されており、腐敗・分解の進行度は死体によって異なります。大半の死体は、腐敗・分解によるものを除いて外傷などの痕跡が見られず、死因は不明です。ただし2体のみ、それぞれ縊死、転落死の痕跡が見られる死体が確認されています。死体のうち身元が確認されたのは現状3体ですが、該当する人物はいずれも存命であり、またその後の調査で全員が過去にSCP-3786-JPに進入していたことが確認されました。そのうち1名は、死体が着用していたものと同じ衣服を以前に所有していたことが判明しました。

財団によるSCP-3786-JP内部探査の試みの後、探査を実行した人員の幼少期と一致する死体が新たに発見されました。このことから、恐らくこれらの死体は基本的にSCP-3786-JPに進入し、退出することをトリガーとして出現すると考えられます。しかし上記の死体も死因は不明であり、外傷のある2体の死体がどのように出現したのかは現状不明です。

補遺: 他の手段による調査が困難なこと、および危険性が比較的低いことに鑑みて、SCP-3786-JPがランドール・五加潜在意識抽出器(Randall-Goka Subconscious Extractor、RGSE)の試験運用の対象となり、2024年08月31日にRGSEを用いた探査が実施されました。

RGSEは、神経学部門のランドール・ホルト博士と夢界部門の五加ごか 路隆みちたか博士が共同で研究・開発した装着型の装置であり、装着者の思考・感覚から特に強く発露したものを選択的に抽出、人間が理解可能なように自動修正・再構成し、文章・画像の形式で出力する装置です。性質上、装着者の思考、記憶の想起、リアルタイムでの経験を明白に弁別することは困難であり、基本的にはそれらが混在して出力されることになります。また、試験運用段階のため、場合により何らかのエラーが生じる可能性があります。

2024年08月31日、D-3534がRGSEを装着し、SCP-3786-JPに進入しました。2時間33分後、D-3534はSCP-3786-JPから帰還、回収されたRGSEから以下の出力結果が得られました。

認識災害・ミーメティックハザードスクリーニングや人工知能構成体(AIC)による検査では、出力結果に異常は確認されませんでした。

. 発見時点で、明確に死体と確認できたものは34体で、いずれも3〜15歳前後と推定される。
