This is a service provided by the IAEA to Member States on their request to appraise their level of preparedness for nuclear or radiological emergencies.
EPREV services facilitate the development of national emergency response capabilities, consistent with the IAEA safety standards. An EPREV can be requested by any Member State.
A team of IAEA Secretariat and international experts assess national capabilities by comparing their arrangements with IAEA safety standards and worldwide good practices.
