Snoots are enemies that appear in Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World . They are green and white creatures shaped like bags or balloons. They have yellowish-orange cheeks, a snout attached to an orange ring, and a pair of beady black eyes. Their color scheme is patterned like a beach ball, and due to their snouts, they bear a resemblance to Slurples from Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 , and they attack Yoshi by spitting buttons at him. These buttons are colored red, orange, gold, and light blue, and can be grabbed using Yoshi's tongue and spat back at the Snoot to defeat it, unlike the hexagonal nut projectiles shot by Snifits, which are similar-behaving enemies. Yoshi cannot eat Snoots, but he can also defeat them with a stomp or yarn balls. While Yoshi can grab a Snoot's button projectiles with his tongue, he cannot eat them either.

Naming[edit ]

"Snoot" is a pun on "snout", referring to Snoots' snouts which they use for spitting buttons.
