- —Squawks , Donkey Kong 64
The Nintendo Coin is a key item in Donkey Kong 64 . It is a silver coin bearing the Nintendo 64 logo, resembling the Silver Coins from Diddy Kong Racing . The Nintendo Coin can be obtained by Donkey Kong playing the original Donkey Kong arcade game in Frantic Factory and winning it twice. The second playthrough replaces Pauline with the Nintendo Coin itself. Both the Nintendo Coin and the Rareware Coin are required to obtain the final Boss Key located behind a door in Hideout Helm.
