The Thestral is a haunted, winged equine beast that is only visible to those who have seen death.
Where to Find a Thestral Den in Hogwarts Legacy
You can find a Thestral den in the north-most section of the map in North Ford Bog. Head to the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame and go north to find the den.
Shiny Thestral
Shiny Thestrals are a light grey/white color with an almost chrome-like appearance in the sunlight.
