How to Breed Beasts
Breeding Beasts is one of the many side activities that can be done in Hogwarts Legacy. With 13 unique Beasts to discover throughout the game and tons of Dens to discover, here's what you need to know.
What Beasts Can You Breed?
Out of the 13 Beasts present in Hogwarts Legacy, 12 Beasts can be bred. The Phoenix is the only species in the game that can't be bred because it's a one-of-a-kind creature. In a quest given to you by Deek called "Phoenix Rising," you'll be tasked with catching a Phoenix.
How to Breed Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy
Once you've unlocked the Room of Requirement and obtained the Nab-Sack, you'll need to complete the "Foal of the Dead" side quest which is given to you by Deek. This quest will have you capture a Thestral to bring back to the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement. You'll also need to obtain a Breeding Pen Spellcraft which can be bought from Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade for 1,000 gold.
Head to the Room of Requirement and into the Vivarium and conjure up a breeding pen by using your Conjuration spell. Place both a male and female Beast of the same species and wait 30 minutes in real-time to produce an offspring. And that's it! Remember that every Beast in the game can be bred except the Phoenix.
