North Ford Bog Merlin Trials

How To Unlock Merlin Trials: To begin taking on the Merlin Trials, you'll need to complete the Trials of Merlin main story mission in Lower Hogsfield. After you have done that, you'll need to buy the ability to grow Mallowsweet from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade, and complete your first Herbology class, unlocking the ability to grow your own Mallowsweet.

Tips: We also recommend buying the 5 pot table from Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade, to make growing it easier, because you'll need Mallowsweet to activate every Merlin Trial (and there are lots of them).

Merlin Trials: 4
Required Spells: Confrigo/Incendio, Accio, Flipendo

North Ford Bog Merlin Trial 1

NOTE: This requires Accio, Confrigo/Incendio

This trial is in the southeastern section of North Ford Bog, very close to the East North Ford Bog fast travel point.

Activate the trial, then head southwest and you'll find some stone pillars surrounding a grassy area. Use Incendio/Confrigo on the grassy area to burn it away and reveal a stone hole.

Use Accio on the large, round boulder on the hill above the hole and pull it in to complete the trial.

North Ford Bog Merlin Trial 2

NOTE: This trial requires Flipendo

This Merlin Trial can be found east of San Bakar's Tower fast travel point, in northern North Ford Bog.

Clear out the Inferi, then activate it and Flipendo stones will appear on the west, southeast, and east. Cast Flipendo on them and you'll complete the trial.

North Ford Bog Merlin Trial 3

NOTE: This trial requires Confringo

This Merlin Trial can be found just east of North Ford Bog fast travel point, in northern North Ford Bog.

Activate the trial and you'll need to use Confringo on the many statues along the cliffs over the water. Several are visible right away, but you'll need to use Confringo on the grassy vines hanging from the cliffs to expose the rest.

Use Revelio if you have trouble seeing them, as they'll glow blue. Just destroy them all to finish the trial.
