Mount Olympus Walkthrough

Updated:

"Mount Olympus" is a Story Quest for Hades in Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion. It is part of the conclusion of Hades' storyline, as it sees the Lord of the Underworld finally able to return to his palace on Mount Olympus. However, the palace is a total mess, so you're going to have to put all the skills you learned in the previous Mythic Trials to the test!

Mount Olympus Prerequisites

To unlock the Mount Olympus Quest, you will need to first do the following:

Once you have done all of the following, head through the gates of Mount Olympus to begin this Quest!

Open The First Gate

As soon as you enter, there is a locked gate - of course, things can never be easy with Hades! Talk to Hades, who tells you that opening the gate will require finding two vases and placing them on either side.

The vases can be found in the following locations:

  • To the right of where Hades is standing, behind a pillar, surrounded by rocks you need to break with your Royal Pickaxe.
  • To the left of where Hades is standing, over a bridge that you will need to use your Fishing Rod to fish up.

Once you have both vases, place them on either side of the gate and walk through.

Open The Second Gate

There's another gate which requires you to find more vases - this time, to weigh down the pressure plates on either side. Unfortunately, these are a bit more complicated to track down. Here is how to get each one:

First Vase

Use your Royal Net to spin the wheel in front of you once. Cross the bridge to find another wheel. Spin that wheel once as well.

Walk down the stairs to find a pile of limestone and a pillar. The vase you need is behind the pillar.

Second Vase

Clear away every rock in the area using your Royal Pickaxe so that the limestone can move. Push the limestone once, which un-blocks the bridge.

Rotate the bridge twice so that it is pointing at the area filled with broken machinery. Cross the bridge and water the broken machinery with your Royal Watering Can to get it working again. This causes a tile blocking the second vase to lower, allowing you to pick up the vase.

Cross the next bridge (there is a lever you will need to push once to lower it.) When you reach the locked gate, place one vase on either marble column to unlock it.

Open The Third and Fourth Gates

Head left to find another bridge that can be fished up using your Royal Fishing Rod. Head across it to pick up a wheel.

Put the wheel on top of the empty pedestal and spin it with your Royal Net to open both the third and fourth gates at once.

Open The Final Gates

Head through the left gate. There is a pile of marble there. Push it once.

Go back and head through the right gate. Follow the narrow passage until you reach a drawbridge. Don't lower it yet - it will fall too low for you to cross! Instead, head down the stairs in front of you to find another pile of marble. Push it once so that it blocks the bridge. There is also a vase behind the marble pile - don't forget to pick it up!

Go up the stairs and back to the drawbridge, which you can now safely lower. Cross it to find two closed gates. Spin the wheel in front of them, and both gates will open.

Push the nearby pile of marble through the now-opened left gate. Go back up the stairs and find that what was once a gap is now closed by the marble. Walk across the marble and pick up the vase on the other side --only after using your Royal Pickaxe to clear out the rocks around it.

Go down the stairs to the final closed gate. Place the two vases on either side, which opens the gate and allows you to enter Hades' Throne Room.

Catch Demon Snippets

Inside Hades' Throne Room are three corrupted Demon Snippets that you need to catch using the Royal Net. Note that these Demon Snippets move around more than usual - you must "catch" each one between 5 and 10 times before it will be added to your inventory!

Talk to Hades, who reluctantly admits that you have helped him out and that he's willing to at least talk with Maleficent and attempt to resolve their differences. Of course, such a meeting can't possibly go well - but at least Hades is happy for now!

Hades might have agreed to help you, but you need Maleficent's aid as well - check out our guide to the Everafter biome to learn more about the part of the Vale she rules over!
