How to Design Clothes

Disney Dreamlight Valley is all about living out your perfect childhood fantasies along with characters you cherish, and whilst there is a huge number of fun cosmetics to earn or purchase, why not let your childhood imagination fully run free and create your own clothing designs?

This page acts as a comprehensive breakdown for how to access clothing customization, what things you can add throughout the design process, and where your designs are saved so you can switch between your favorites whenever you'd like!

Customizing Clothing

To design your own clothes, head to the Wardrobe tab in your Backpack menu and select "Customize".

From here, you can choose what piece of clothing you would like to customize, and proceeding on, you can change the color, as well as being able to add up to 50 Motifs to the clothing, with the ability to change its size, rotation, and placement on the clothing.

Motifs are images/designs that can be earned via Friendship tracks with the various characters in your village, or can be redeemed on the currently available Star Path.

Once your unique and awesome design is complete, you can save and quit out, and you’ll have the design saved as a preset that you can switch into/ out of at any point you like!
