Patches

The name Patches has been given to the somewhat friendly spider who is found in the Lecture Building. If you speak to him, you can obtain a rune and a gesture.

This isn't the only location you find him though. In the Nightmare Frontier, there is an area that has dozens of coins littering the ground. Should the player go down there, Patches will push the player off the cliff into a pool of poison.

The name Patches has been given to many NPC's across various Souls games and has become a bit of a joke character that From Software, the developer, has used in several games.
