Deadlines for 2024 data reporting and validation

The milestones of 2024 data reporting as agreed during the Zoonoses Network meeting:

  1. 1 April 2025

    Opening of the reporting period

  2. 31 May 2025 (legal deadline)

    Closure of the reporting period

    EU Summary tables will be displayed in MicroStrategy reports; any change in data during the data reporting and correction periods will be displayed automatically in the EU summary reports in MicroStrategy the day following a dataset submission.

    Submission of new datasets after the deadline will not be allowed; Text forms should be reported by the legal deadline.

  3. 2 – 12 June 2025

    First validation period

  4. 13 June 2025

    Letters requesting scientific clarifications and/or amendments (if needed) sent to the MSs

  5. 13 – 29 June 2025

    First data correction by MSs

  6. 30 June – 9 July 2025

    Final validation period

  7. 10 July 2025

    Second letters requesting scientific clarifications and/or corrections (if needed) sent to the MSs

  8. 10 – 18 July 2025

    Final data correction

  9. By 22 July 2025

    Acceptance of data in the Scientific Datawarehouse (DWH)

  10. 22 July 2025

    EFSA validates the final submitted and corrected data (against several criteria)

    EFSA validates the final submitted and corrected data (against several criteria). After 22 July 2025, data cannot be changed, as data extracted on this date will be used to draft the 2024 EUOHZ. Erroneous data (e.g. combination of matrix/pathogen) will not be included in the analysis.
