Hi, sorry in advance if I am bothering you. I just want to inform you about a possibilty here on meta. After the SUL finalization there is a search for additional Global_renamers (GR). You should know, since you translated some of the related pages here on meta.
As I did with other users with knowledge of less "common" languages, I am contacting you because at the moment in Global_renamers#Users_with_global_rename_access and Stewards#List_of_current_stewards, if I correctly remember, noone is tr>3. Mardetanha is tr-2, but (s)he is not very active as a GR. More than 65 millions people speak Turkish, and I don't expect some seniors to know other languages such as English very well, so there is a gap IMHO.
Now, you have a If you think you won't be very active in the next months or you are simply not interested, no problem. In case you want to apply, I suggest you to translate also the page Global_rename_policy into Turkish.--Alexmar983 (talk) 20:21, 24 June 2015 (UTC) Reply

I wanted to follow-up on an message I sent you in September regarding the need for you to sign a confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015 in order to maintain your access from Wikimedia to nonpublic information, and specifically to the OTRS system.
As you may know, the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees approved a new "Access to nonpublic information policy" on 25 April 2014 after a community consultation. The former policy has remained in place until the new policy could be implemented. That implementation work is now being done, and we are transitioning to the new policy.
An important part of that transition is helping volunteers like you sign the required confidentiality agreement. All Wikimedia volunteers with access to nonpublic information are required to sign this new agreement, and we have prepared some documentation to help you do so.
The Wikimedia Foundation is requiring that anyone with access to nonpublic information sign the new confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015 to retain their access. You are receiving this message because you have access to nonpublic information by way of the OTRS system and are required to sign the confidentiality agreement under the new policy. If you do not sign the new confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015, you will lose your OTRS access.
Signing the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information is conducted and tracked using Legalpad on Phabricator. We have prepared a guide on Meta-Wiki to help you create your Phabricator account and sign the new agreement: Confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information/How to sign
If you have any questions or experience any problems while signing the new agreement, please visit this talk page or email me (gvarnum@wikimedia.org). Again, please sign this confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015 to retain your access to nonpublic information. If you do not wish to retain this access, please let me know and we will forward your request to the appropriate individuals.
If you wish to stop receiving these notices, you may remove yourself from this list. Please note that doing so will not prevent you from losing OTRS rights and access after the 31 December 2015 deadline.

Hi Uğurkent,
I'm a Finnish Wikipedian and GLAM-wiki person. I have contacts to the Finnish Embassy in Ankara and I wish to help them get in contact with local Wikimedians. The embassy is organizing an edit-a-thon related to International Women's Day on Mon 7 March together with some local partners. They would be glad to have experienced Wikipedians take part in their event. I was wondering if you or someone you know would be a person to talk to. We'd like to invite UNESCO participants to join a new challenge on the same model, the Met Open Access Artworks Challenge. You can contribute by illustrating with images using some of the 375k photos now under CC0, starting or improving articles (try our new Mbabel tool!), or creating translations (if your language isn't listed, please ask!). You can sign up here: Met Open Access Artworks Challenge/Participants. --Pharos (talk) 18:00, 5 June 2017 (UTC) Reply
Hi,
Congratulations to the 6th place in the COH Challenge! Well done and thank you! To thank you for your contribution and recognize your effort, we will send you a series of Wikimedia Sverige and Wikipedia SWAG.
We hope you appreciated participating in the contest. We may organize similar contests in the future, and if you have any input you would like to share with us, please tell us in an email to eric.luth(_AT_)wikimedia.se.

Hi Uncitoyen, We will be hosting a public event online to present the data, a few examples on how teams will be using it for annual planning, and what are next steps for this project. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 10, at 9:00 am PST (1600 UTC), and the presentation will be in English. You can watch the livestream here, and ask question via IRC on #wikimedia-office.
If you are unable attend, you can also find the report on meta, and watch the recording of the event at a later time.
We hope to have you join us online! -- María Cruz 23:28, 2 October 2017 (UTC) Reply
Hello, Uğurkent:
The content of the email you've sent to me has made me feel awkward and unconfortable to say the least. You can't just go around emailing people and ordering them to answer questions (32 in my case) about themselves and their relatives for some kind of homework or personal project. That's wholy unnaceptable, a misuse of the EmailUser function and some might also feel concerned about it. I won't be answering your questions. And this is also a formal request that you do not send me any email for such activities outside my remit as Wikimedia volunteer. The Wikimedia Foundation has been forwarded the content of the email you've sent to me should they want to do anything with it. I am, frankly, dissapointed about this. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 20:48, 7 October 2017 (UTC) Reply
I'd like to invite you to join Wikipedia Asian Art Month in the December extension of the sub-contest; if you write or translate just one article and include one of our images, you'll get a special Metropolitan Museum of Art postcard. Congratulations, Uncitoyen! You now have the rights of an administrator on Meta-Wiki. Please take a moment to read the Meta:Administrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat, and Meta:Requests for deletion, but also Talk:Spam blacklist and Talk:Interwiki map), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings, or modifications of protected pages. The majority of the actions of administrators can be reversed by the other admins, except for history merges which must thus be treated with particular care. Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikimedia-admin connect . You may find Commons:Guide to adminship to be useful reading although it doesn't always completely apply here at Meta. Please also check or add your entry to Meta:Administrators#List of administrators and the Template:List of administrators. You're also allowed to subscribe the metawiki admins private mailing list. Again, congratulations and welcome to the team. --MF-W 22:54, 2 January 2021 (UTC) Reply

I have updated the filter. I don't think that we need to be quiet about it and can conduct that business onwiki. Personally, I think that onwiki discussion is more alerting to the broader community, and there is nothing that we are trying to hide. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:48, 22 August 2021 (UTC) Reply
I was surprised to see your request for speedy deletion of a fellow admins user page, especially without any conversation with that admin. I have declined it as I think that such deletion requests would be better explained, so would request that if you wish to progress that you do it in consultation with the user, or through a DR. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:15, 30 August 2021 (UTC) Reply

Hey there! I saw your name at the edit history of the aforementioned page. Can you help me with some information? I'm a crat at SqWiki and I was thinking to open a discussion with my community about setting some local limits in regard to our crats and admins. That's because we have a lot of admins (and maybe even crats) but very few of them are ever active past doing 1 change per year just so they're inside the general 2 year limit. My proposal is that the limit is changed from 2 years to 6 months or maybe 1 year and for the number of edits to be raised from 1 edit to... something more substantial. And if they hit their limit, they are removed from stewards. This is of course something we'll have to decide as a community. But I'm not sure if we can make such a decision. Assuming we had a discussion and we agreed to that, would there be needed anything else? What would be our next step if agreement was reached? Do we just put our name into that list with our rules and they're guaranteed to be taken into consideration by stewards? (The stewards are the ones who do the removal, right? It's not automatic?) I'd be happy with any kind of information you can provide. :) - Klein Muçi (talk) 00:19, 12 November 2021 (UTC) Reply
Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you.
