Global rollback for Devwebtel
- Global user: Devwebtel (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA )
Global rollbacker rights will help me reverting vandalisms (I'm member of SWMT and I'm voiced on #cvn-sw IRC channel). If you grant me this rights, you can delete my CAPTCHA exemptions rights (globall rollbacker group has skipcaptcha right). --Devwebtel (query) 12:36, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

- What you mean? Too few edits? --Devwebtel (query) 14:07, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- Too few edits outside of the wiki that your account was created, not enough cross-wiki activity. User group situation is not as bad (yet) as some of our recent global rollback requests we've seen, but it's starting to become a bit concerning. The global CAPTCHA exemptions is really not needed in my opinion as they become waived pretty much when you reach autoconfirmed status on every wiki you regularly visit (although it's a bit higher on the eswiki with 50 edits, but very low on others). Tropicalkitty (talk) 17:25, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- Rollback right will help me a lot (quicker rollbacking), but I can wait if you want. --Devwebtel (query) 19:11, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- You have too few edits overall (only around 2500) also; I would suggest reapplying later. --Rs chen 7754 19:15, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- Ok. How many global edits should I have? About 5000? --Devwebtel (query) 20:23, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- A question like this misses the point: what I would expect to see is showing enough experience to revert vandalism across many wikis, and a proper understanding of the mission of Wikimedia. --Rs chen 7754 23:11, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

Global rollback for Максим Підліснюк
- Global user: Максим Підліснюк (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA )
Hi. Recently I look for in a small Wiki edits, and I do not have the possibility to undo vandalism. Moreover, as I have OTRS agent, I often have to meet vandalism in various inactive projects.
Also I'm bureaucrat and administrator in Ukrainian Wikipedia, and is often a situation where locally blocking vandal I do not have the possibility to remove him globally. --Максим Підліснюк (talk) 12:53, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose Oppose, having low Xwiki experience is one of my reason opposing, but then I see your CentralAuth Special:CentralAuth/Максим_Підліснюк then I saw you are blocked on ru.wiktionary under reason "Inserting false information". I want to give moral support, but this does not encourages me to even give you a constructive opinion.--AldNonymous Bicara? 16:07, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Comment. That block was a year ago and was applied after a single edit. I'm not in a position to translate the edit to check it myself at this time, but it seems a little unfair to write off a GR request solely on that basis. QuiteUnusual (talk) 16:17, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Well, you have do a point, but doesn't change my position on Максим Підліснюк, his lack of crosswiki activity doesn't make it better, Максим Підліснюк mainly only do edit and antivandal activity on Russian Wikis.--AldNonymous Bicara? 16:38, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Aldnonymous: In fact indicated block in the Russian Wiktionary rather strange to me. Maybe you heard about what the Ukrainian fans have given the nickname Vladimir Putin. Once I made it in an article, and perhaps that time is contrary to consensus. Then I was locked in a year (for single edit) indicating the reason "Inserting false information". I spoke to sysop asking for unblocking, but he ignored me. I would like to say that this block expires on Tuesday. --Максим Підліснюк (talk) 19:43, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

- Neutral Neutral per Aldnonymous on the cross-wiki experience part. The block situation itself was a bit harsh, but we all make mistakes. Not a perfect world. Thanks for nominating though. Tropicalkitty (talk) 09:45, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi all, I'm an active member on Vietnamese Wikipedia from 2009 and have a lot of cross-wiki experience. I service as a sysop on vi.wp, wi.wikt, outreach and some other Wikimania wiki, also an OTRS member and has an account on Foundation wiki. My homewiki has a ton of outstanding request for rename (vi:Wikipedia:Đổi tên người dùng), because we only have two global renamer and both are very busy with real-life now. I would like to help Vietnamese speaking users here and at local request pages, also for some languages which is my language (ja-4 and en-2). Global rename for K6ka

- User: K6ka (talk • edits • logs • UserRights • activity • CentralAuth • email • verify 2FA )
- Not ending before 20 June 2015 14:25 UTC
Hello, I'm K6ka, and I'd like to request the global renamer tool partly due to a suggestion by Xeno, who is a local en.wiki bureaucrat and a fellow global renamer. I'm afraid I do not hold the sysop or bureaucrat flags anywhere on Wikimedia, but I am very involved in the en.wikipedia changing username process, working as a clerk there for well over a year now (before the rename tool was removed from bureaucrats), so I know about the renaming process. Having the global rename tool would be useful as it would allow me to process requests instead of having to leave a message and waiting for a global renamer to handle it. I have read and understood the Global rename policy and I plan to put this tool to good use. Thanks. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 14:25, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support Support K6ka is active in the rename process on enwiki, and has enough experience from that to know how to use the bit properly. I would usually like to see a sysop flag, but the candidate's experience compensates for a lack of one (and that is more important, since sysops have nothing to do with renaming). Thanks for volunteering! Ajraddatz (talk) 15:58, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support Support mainly per Ajraddatz. Even though this user does not hold sysop rights anywhere, I feel that he is certainly qualified for this role. K6ka, thank you for your impressive, hardworking and gnomish work on enwiki renaming request page. Jianhui67 talk ★contribs 16:02, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support Support Well-qualified for the role, with much experience in the changing username process. Probably the only reason he doesn't hold administrative privileges on en is that he hasn't accepted any nomination yet. As one of the most active bureaucrats in the enwiki renaming process, I've come to rely on his participation in the clerking process, rarely having to deviate from the path he suggests for the customer or processor. Also active on simple wiki, so would be able to help coordinate the CHU process on that project as well. –xeno 16:03, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

Global editinterface for Matma Rex
- Global user: Matma Rex (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA )
I've been a global interfaceeditor for the past year and my permissions expired. I still need them for the same purpose :) As a MediaWiki developer working primarily on JavaScript, I find more and more often that I need to make simple fixes to gadgets on various wikis using deprecated features, or update such gadgets copied from another place to the most recent version. I am sysop at the Polish Wikipedia (pl:User:Matma Rex) and mediawiki.org (mw:User:Matma Rex). Last year's request: Steward requests/Global permissions/2014-06#Global editinterface for Matma Rex. - Thanks, Matanya. I support extending Matma Rex's access. For what it's worth though, the policy clearly states that requests will last five days, and I don't think that is an unreasonable time to make candidates wait while opinions are solicited. Ajraddatz (talk) 18:15, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Formally object to speedy closure per Meta:Snowball, which is policy. Nothing in this statement should be interpreted against the candidate. —MarcoAurelio 14:46, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

Global editinterface for Ori Livneh
- Global user: Ori Livneh (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA )
I would like to be added to the global interface editors group. I am principal performance engineer at the Wikimedia Foundation, but I also hack on the site in my spare time, and have been an editor since 2006, so I have a fair understanding of norms of behavior and etiquette. If my request is approved, I will use the permission to update code for JavaScript API changes, and to make performance optimizations, when such optimizations can be applied without compromising functionality. I am a sysop on MediaWiki.org (mw:User:Ori Livneh). --Ori Livneh (talk) 18:10, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Interface editor for Candalua
- Global user: Candalua (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA )
Interwiki links have all been added in Wikidata for Main page and Special:Recentchanges, but a lot of Wikisource projects didn't remove the local interwiki links. This is resulting in duplicated links being shown (example). I would like to fix this situation by removing the links where necessary. 1 week can be enough to perform the task. Thanks, --Candalua (talk) 16:39, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- IMO this should be done locally, and local Admin should be the one who perform it.--AldNonymous Bicara? 18:09, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- On most small projects, local admins aren't there or don't even know how to do it... I'm the one who added those links years back. Candalua (talk) 08:18, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

- Thank you. In the meantime, it seems like the interwiki links got broken on Special pages, and it looks like no one has a clue about it. So it's probably not a good idea to remove the local links from Mediawiki:Recentchangestext until this bug has been solved. I will wait some time and then see what is best to do. Things on bug T102888 are stalled. I asked if I should fix the interwiki links manually but didn't get a proper answer. I'm not doing anything at the moment. If there are no updates on the bug in the next few days, feel free to remove my interface editor rights. Candalua (talk) 13:08, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
