Also, the grounds you give are not sufficient to suspect that Kaldari is the same user as the user. So, mark this request as not done. Perhaps the user is using the same or geographically very close IPs to be Omphalographer on Wikiversity and Kaldari on Commons. The unauthorized and apparently unnoticed change to our EDP is a legally important matter, so it is important for Check User to be clearly able to separate these two users, especially by IPs. I'm also contacting other members of the Wikiversity community to see if they are willing to add their support here. Just FYI: there are about 50 sysops on the English Commons. I feel like I'm really missing something. The pages linked at sdwiki are completely different in using my google translate. But I did find ckb:سئۆکار to be the same thing as sd:سئو کار which has both of their names to each. I ran the check based on that.

@LuciferianThomas: This is a really complicated case in what I can tell, and in what actions we can take. First of all, all the listed accounts and many more are all editing from an educational network with several large IP ranges at its disposal. It belongs to a university. The problem is that the policies governing CheckUser disclosure do not allow me to identify which accounts are editing from this IP, as it would disclose who is editing at this specific university to all the accounts listed. Therefore each account listed would know what university the other accounts attend. This type of disclosure is prohibited. So that leaves me with the IP addresses. As I said before, there are several large ranges (meaning they extend beyond the /16 that is blockable in mediawiki software). Though there is one IP that stands out. There are 152 accounts on this one IP, of which only 57 are blocked. That said, I can't go in and block that IP without violating the disclosure policies. So this puts me in a real pickle, and I have to say my hands are tied on what I can do for you, sadly. If you need more clarification on what I have said, feel free to ask, just know there is very little I can disclose. -- Amanda (she/her) 04:11, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

It would be more likely to utilise a {{schoolblock}} on such IP ranges to avoid disclosure of user privacy. If you feel like this is a fair compromise of action, please help yourself or ask our sysops to execute the block such that it would not look exactly like this is a CheckUser block. I have read over the policies again, and it was late last night when I considered this. Given the accounts listed are all blocked for abuse, the ANPDP does grant me the leeway to block the IP. If it had of contained innocent users, which is what I was worried about last night, then I wouldn't have been able to disclose.
