Internal Communications

Internal Communications seeks to create an engaged and informed staff at the Wikimedia Foundation, increasing the sense of welcoming and belonging in our workplace culture. We aim to ensure that each person in our globally distributed organization has access to the information they need to collaborate and achieve our mission.

How we work

[edit ]

The Internal Communications team supports the entire Foundation. We work with teams and departments to develop and deliver messages to staff.

Selected projects

[edit ]
  • Wikimedia Foundation Connect – annual virtual all-Foundation staff gathering
  • Monthly staff meetings – announcements, discussions, and conversations for the Foundation staff
  • Office Wiki – our internal wiki for collaboration and documentation

Current Projects

[edit ]
  • Curious Minds – internal engagement series intended to create space for staff to explore ideas and hold discussions that are relevant to our work

The Wikimedia Foundation, Inc is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to encouraging the growth, development and distribution of free, multilingual content, and to providing the full content of these wiki-based projects to the public free of charge.
