I recreated the site from scratch from a virgin installation of the 3.7.4 prebuild and did not have the same problems detailed below.

I built the original site from 3.5, upgraded to 3.6 where I enabled a lot of modules related to news feeds before upgrading to 3.7.4. Perhaps I messed something up.

In anycase, creating the site from a new installation resulted in a site which did not have the same issues.

i'm working on a product catalog for a store in drupal7.

for the products, we've got a number of gallery images which i'm currently handling in the content type as field_images and within the feed import as 'image1,image2,image3'.

the curve ball we've recently been dealt is that our product gallery images are now pairs of images so the client can specify a different file which can be used for the crop image.

feed import as 'image1|alt_image1,image2|alt_image2,image3|alt_image3'.

I've been building a site with an Omega 3.x sub-theme and things are moving along nicely for the most part.

Except for this.

I needed a place for my banner image on the site, so I created a block, inserted the image, and placed the block in the 'Branding' region of the Omega sub-theme. I configured the block to display on all pages except the "front" page.

I needed a footer image as well, so I did pretty much exactly the same thing as above.

What I wanted to do was be able to layout images on a page in such a way that I could control the placement and size. I couldn't reallly find anything on this for Drupal 7. This will only work for one image size and image per node, but that was all I needed. However in panels you will be able to combine images. You will need to know how to work with panels, views, and fields (core) for this.

Trabando en entorno Local con Zen Theme, hice una Región ($featured), hice 5 bloques, cada uno con su título y un "img" tag para la imagen en Description (en este caso un escudito), con Full HTML en Input Format, y use la propiedad float:left en el archivo blocks.css para desplegarlos en horizontalmente.

So I'm having some trouble with some code that I added to the page-header.tpl.php. I have taken out the menu(s) that appeared there and replaced it with some social networking tools; facebook, twitter, newsletter, rss.

I'm very much used to have images as nodes in Drupal 6, never found a use of the CCK image_field stuff. Now, the nodes are no longer and I have to deal with image_field.

Any hints on how to adapt to this new kind?

I am looking for best (available) practices to manage images for news. Is essential for news images to be reused some times. Does someone find a way to reuse images and arrange them in galleries?
I want to upload images, arrange them in galleries and be able to attach them to articles multiple times?

For now the closest I found is "IMCE file browser", but it’s very basic way.
There are no thumbnails no description for pictures, only preview when you select the picture.

Someone found a way?

I am trying to add the capability for a group of people in an organization to easily upload photos and have them post to a gallery or slideshow on the sight. The Flickr module has been recommended, but it appears that out of the box this module works with one Flickr account only.
