Media/Photography Site: Media Organized by Taxonomy

Posted by designerbr on June 30, 2011 at 1:24am

Hey Everyone!

Recently launched this site using a system of arguments and taxonomy to organize content.

http://www.benrenschen.com

If interested in deploying something similar, please let me know. I've been overwhelmed with work lately, but if people were interested in how I sorted my media site out, I'd love to help...and could probably use the motivation. Please let me know what you think!

Hope all is well, Drupalites!

Ben

Drupal and Photography: Managing and presenting Images and Galleries with access controls

Posted by Art55 on July 24, 2010 at 10:00am

I'm preparing to build a site for organizing, managing, tracking, presenting, selecting, and delivering digital images.
It would be used as both a showcase and a product delivery tool. It would most likely be "fed" from Lightroom using a custom export.

Help for a Photographer Friend (Drupal 6)

Posted by Cecily on March 23, 2009 at 2:16pm

Hi all,

A friend of mine is getting into Drupal and is far more advanced than I am with customizing the system using PHP. I'd asked someone else I know with some advanced Drupal experience this question, but they weren't able to help me either, so I thought I'd post it here on his behalf.

Call for banner photos to include in Acquia Slate theme!

Posted by stephthegeek on March 14, 2009 at 10:22pm

The new Acquia Slate theme features a photo prominently on the front page, which is also can be used in a smaller form as a header region background on inner pages. Currently the theme ships with a single "seascape" photo, but we'll be adding a banner-switcher setting that will allow you to choose between several images to change the look for your site.

How to achieve slideshow and individual tagging simultaneously

Posted by cindyr on September 15, 2008 at 8:36pm

Hi. I'm new to Photography group but I've been using Drupal for over a year now on multiple sites, and I love it. One thing I keep struggling with is how to create good photo albums. I've used CCK, Views and Thickbox, and that works well except it doesn't allow for automatic advancement through the slideshow. I've tried a couple others, but can't seem to get anything else to work well in either Drupal 5 or Drupal 6.

New Module: Image Nodes Now Inherit The EXIF and IPTC Metadata of the Image Uploaded

Posted by Brian@brianpucc... on June 30, 2008 at 1:52am

From the MAQUM (Metadata Aware Quick Upload Module) project page:

MAQUM is short for Metadata Aware Quick Upload Module. MAQUM works with (and relies upon) Drupal's image module to upload images. Instead of uploading an image directly with the image module, upload an image through MAQUM and MAQUM will process your image's metadata and create your image node. ExifTool must be installed on your server as MAQUM requires it to read your images' metadata.

anyone following the promising image module 6.x-dev issues/patches?

Posted by volunteermama@d... on February 29, 2008 at 8:07pm

I'm trying to put together a site to display my family's photos... Thousands of them currently on my computer organized in folders by year with subdirectories by month then subdirectories by day... Anyway, has anyone been following the issues/patches for the 6.x dev branch of the images module?

Especially promising for me is the patch to maintain the directory structure and great sub galleries based on the directories. And also the patch to integrate thickbox and pageing.

I can't decide if I should use a drupal 6 with images and those patches!!!

Any thought?
