Abstracted array files (YAML?)

Posted by d00bz on February 15, 2010 at 1:56am

I am experimenting with abstracting the complex nested arrays that populate the definition of Drupal modules as separate resource files in YAML.

Example YAML for a menu: a separate file:

[module_dir]/resources/menu.yml

admin/game:
path: admin/game
title: game
page callback: game_admin
access arguments: [access administration pages]
type:
function: constant
arguments: [MENU_NORMAL_ITEM]

admin/game/add:
path: admin/game/add
title: Add Task
page callback: game_admin_add

Issues to consider for multiple project branches

Posted by haxney on June 17, 2009 at 9:17am

One part of my GSoC is to add support (of some sort) to VersionControl API for having multiple branches within a project (like a drupal.org project) with different user permissions. The idea is to allow a more DVCS-like workflow, where people can work independently on their own branch and then request an admin user to pull their changes into the master repository. I won't be starting this for a few weeks, but I wanted to get a discussion going about what it should look like.

Proposal-Custom Parametric Search Module

Posted by sukoom2001 on March 31, 2009 at 9:03pm

Overview: This project aims to provide an easy mean for site developers to create custom parametric search forms and result pages for different content types, much like those of e-commerce sites. The current idea is to create a module for creating search UI depending on CKK and Views. This module will provide flexibility for combining search parameters (operations, priorities, dependences, etc.) and customizability in the look of both search forms and result pages.

Forum topics with open, resolved and unsolved statuses?

Posted by betz on September 30, 2008 at 6:56am

Hey drupalers,

I would like to propose a new feature for the redesign of the d.o forum.
Wouldn't it be nice if the author of a forum topic can give the topic a resolved or closed status?
This way it's easier to see what topics need more help.
A proposal for some topic statuses:
- open
- closed (resolved)
- closed (unsolved) -> when a topic is open and has not been replied within a month for example or if the author sets it t manually to unsolved.

Maybe you know experts-exchange.com? This is a commercial forum that also works with open and closed questions.
