userpoints

I am working on a gift giving site. I wanted to use user points to negotiate the transfer of user points from one member to another member.
Eg.
Bill wants a pony. (worth 500 points).
Jenny wants Bill to have a pony (click on a button and Bill get 5 points towards his pony deducted from Jenny's balance).

Is there a module or a recipe that exists that allows this to happen? I know how to build something like this and tie it into the Userpoints API, but I would rather not re-invent the wheel, if I could.

I want to allow users to attempt quiz multiple times but award points only for the first attempt. Is this possible?

I have a working and reasonably-complete module that integrates LM PayPal and User Points so that users can use PayPal to buy user points (or whatever you've called them). This provides a flexible subscriptions system, with all the various userpoints modules linking in.

I'm working on building out user badges as a major feature on a news site, where users can submit or vote on various amounts of various types of content to get X or Y badge, some of which give the users new permissions and some of which are merely decoration.

I'm looking to set up two types of user points.

I.e.: Points and credits.

The reason for this, i want to use "credits" (userpoints) to let users buy credits throigh ubercart <--- possible
and pay for content <--- possible
(exchange the points to the content provider) <--- possible
who will be able to cashout his earned credits <--- another thing that i'm not sure of if possibe).

Also i want to have general points to rank users based on actions on the site (comments, fill in profile fields etc) <--- this i know is possible.

I have been trying to use the Rules module to grant points to a user based upon the taxonomy term used for organizing points. I have been successful at granting points to the user but it always adds the points to the first term in the vocabulary and no matter what order I load the user id and term id into the rule, it always seems to ignore the term id.

I assume I am doing something completely wrong and am hoping someone can point at me and say: "Did you click the, blah blah?" Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Hundreds of communities trading with complementary currencies need this!

Two years ago, working with the UK Coordinator for LETS I prototyped an architecture to support these communities with all their variants. Right now I have time to port it to Drupal which is the obvious platform. Progress is slow because I'm learning on the job, so this project needs mentoring.

While I'm working hard on a new drupal website, I'm also thinking hard about the User and Content Points System I am trying to create for this website. Actually I had the idea of such a system before I started with drupal. But right now I'm very happy because of drupal's great module support, it seems to me that I'm going to work on only two additional modules and here we go:

Can anyone point me to some good examples of userpoints? We've enabled theom our sites, but so far we're not doing anything besides tracking the total in the user profile. We're interested in using them as a way to reward users for participation (i.e. giving them different ranks for reaching certain point levels) and/or as an alternative currency to purcahse t-shirts and other schwag. But we're nervous about the potential to incent quanity over quality. Any suggestions?
