I have a working and reasonably-complete module that integrates LM PayPal and User Points so that users can use PayPal to buy user points (or whatever you've called them). This provides a flexible subscriptions system, with all the various userpoints modules linking in.
The site I developed it for allows users to buy PayPal "credits" and then create nodes at a cost of one credit per node. Potentially these credits might expire with time, be awarded without needing payment, and could be transferred between users.
Comments, and offers of help to maintain this (if others think it might be useful), welcome!

Last time I did this it was with ubercart
I had to do this using ubercart the last time I came up against it, and that's pretty big overkill, so glad to have you doing this. Hoping you'll get it contributed.

yes!
This module could benefit administrators to avoid using a ubercart to handle just this 'buying' operation. I'm also interested in the module and I offer myself as co-maintainer if you need help to make it ready to deploy if you plan to contribute it.
module
Is this module available somewhere? I am doing the very same thing and ubercart is totally overkill for it... Please email me if it is or reply. Thank you!
Now in Drupal.org sandbox
I've uploaded my current code to the Drupal code sandbox:

great news in a long time
This is exactly what I'm looking for since...I discovered Drupal. I don't want to use Ubercart and even if I would want it is imposible in drupal 7 as the ubercart_userpoints module was not updated. Thank you for working on this.
Hi Fonant, are you still
Hi Fonant, are you still working on this module? Any plans to make it work on D7? Thanks.
Sadly the project that needed
Sadly the project that needed this has gone a bit quiet, so I haven't been working with it. It is still in use though, and should still work without major problem in D6.
I don't have any current plans to investigate upgrading it to work with D7.
I upgraded your module to D7
I upgraded your module to D7 with the coder module. There were not many changes made to it but I would appreciate it if you could take a look at it to see if the changes are ok. I can't attach the file here so I will need to send you an email. Is this ok with you? Thanks.
Yes, sure, or even better,
