I'm wondering if anyone has done any work on importing Facebook groups wholesale into Drupal Organic Groups? I know we can export all the data from a Facebook group using the Facebook API. I guess the main task is to how to map Facebook comments (with revisions?), users, events and pages to a local Drupal instance. I guess make placeholders for these Facebook objects and allow these to be acquired retrospectively? Any ideas? Any projects with similar aims?

Some colleagues and I are beginning work on a module to create and manage ads via the Facebook Ads API. I understand that the demand for this module might be small (not everyone advertises on facebook, and facebook requires approval before you get access to the API) but I'm hopeful that anyone else interested in this might benefit from building it and maintaining it together.

We're still very early in the process, but are trying to architect it in a way that our site-specific features are abstracted away from whatever we make for Drupal.org.

Sprint

The Abstracting Social Networking functionality in Drupal sprint will run at Drupal Developer Days Barcelona 2012. The main sprint day will be Friday 15th June 2012 from 10:30 in the morning. Wordpress Fotobook plugin will show photos from a user's Facebook profile (assuming the user has set the appropriate permissions for them to be made visible, and that suitable Facebook App settings and id have been setup).

I wondered if there was an equivalent module for Drupal?

I'm developing a site for a consortium of NGOs. Each has its own set of pages, events, & galleries tagged by an NGO taxonomy. What I hope to achieve is to enable "Like", "Comment" and "Activity Streams" to each NGO's Facebook page/event/gallery depending on where the button was submitted from. How can I do this?

I'm a configurer, not a module developer. Something like Facebook_pull looks good because you put the appID in the code, versus a single appID per website in admin like fb_social. I would need some very user-friendly documentation to help NGOs create apps, though.

I ́ve this drupal 6.x site that have registered and anonymous users aswell. The registered ones are alumni from the Institution ́s courses.
I want to let anonymous users to be able to post comments in the site (using Drupal commenting system) without creating an account.
I ́ve tried with the "Drupal for Facebook" module, but even if users can log in with their FB accounts they cannot post comments.

I've used the ping.fm service on a couple of sites to post to specific Facebook pages (not just to the main account's wall). The ping.fm service is spotty at best and I hate to rely on it. In fact, I'm writing this because it's support for posting to FB pages seems to be broken as the result of a FB API change over a month ago.

Anyway, my question is, can someone please lay out a general roadmap for creating a module that allows users to post to specific pages?

I'm looking for a way to show users of my site his/her (Facebook) friends that voted on a particular question. How do I get the list of user ids of the user's facebook friends that are on my site? I am using Janrain engage, fb_social modules and Drupal 7.

I am looking for a way to retrieve historical data about users using facebook api. such things as which posts user liked in the past, which events user RSVP'd in the past, perhaps even friendship statuses from the past. Have you guys come across something similar? I've spent considerable amount of time yesterday learning facebook graph api as thoroughly as i could and was not able to find any such data. more so, i find that taking all data available via facebook api it will not be possible to reconstruct any historical data.

Let's do it.

• the post can be commented on the website and on the Facebook page, no matter where it is commented, the comment shows up in both places
