Chemical compound

Ammonium hexafluorochromate is an inorganic chemical compound with the chemical formula (NH4)3CrF6.[1]

Physical properties

[edit ]

Ammonium hexafluorochromate forms crystals of cubic system, space group F43m.[2] [3]

Chemical properties

[edit ]

When heated, ammonium hexafluorochromate decomposed directly to the pure chromium(III) fluoride.[4] [5]

[NH4]3[CrF6] → CrF3 + 3 NH3 + 3 HF
