Markers with Image Icons

  • google.maps.Marker is deprecated, with google.maps.marker.AdvancedMarkerElement being the recommended replacement for enhanced functionalities.

  • This example demonstrates customizing a Google Maps marker with a beach flag image icon.

  • The provided code snippets showcase the implementation in TypeScript and JavaScript, along with the necessary CSS and HTML for displaying the map and marker.

  • To run the sample locally, Git and Node.js are required, with instructions for cloning the repository, installing dependencies, and starting the application.

This example replaces the default marker with a custom flag icon.
