What do you mean with "May not be the best quality"? What seems to be the problem?

If this is complete, please also tell me how you want to be credited.

Nope, not complete yet, but I'll definitely ping you when I'm done with this. About credits: how about adding a "Translators" section to the "Credits" in README and crediting me there after merge?

What do you mean with "May not be the best quality"? What seems to be the problem?

It's two things:

  1. I don't play Repixture too often and I don't know which strings belong to which part of the mod and where they appear in-game. I just copy template.txt to modname.ru.tr, open it with some text editor and translate.
For example: "Craft X.". What is it? Is it an achievement thing? An instruction? A button text?.. It matters because Russian has a big amount of various cases and declensions if comparing to English, and IDK if it should be "Скрафтите" (You need to craft) or "Скрафтить" (just Craft as a verb in infinitive)
  2. My english is still not as good as I want it to be. It's better than it was before, of course, but not the best. That's why I may do wrong translations sometimes (but I double-check with Google Translate so it should be alright?)

When in doubt, just leave a translation empty for now (until you figured it out). Better an empty translation than a faulty one. You will probably not be the last translator. :)

Feel free to collect a list of the exact strings you struggle with and post it here or in a new issue. I might add some documentation in template.txt later.
I know how frustrating it can be if context is missing.

As for the strings like "Craft a bed.", "Craft a pickaxe.", etc.: These are all the instructions for the things you must do to get achievements; you can quickly test this in the player inventory.
Exception: The strings "Craft once" and "Craft 10 times" are the tooltips in the crafting menu on the crafting buttons "1" and "10".

And yeah, I strongly suggest to do at least a superficial test after the translation. Click through the UI, look at /help, check all item names, use some of the "interactive" nodes and items like chests and books, etc. Creative Mode will speed things up a lot. Even a superficial check can uncover many mistakes (trust me, I speak from experience).
And you don't have to actually play a lot to test the translation; Creative Mode will help a lot.

And just feel free to post any further questions.

Note: Google Translate isn't very accurate. Don't blindly trust it. Using a dictionary is better.

There's a big issue with translating rp_jewels.

You see, Russian has "драгоценность" (something with a high cost, not just stone) and "драгоценный камень" (a stone with a high cost, jewel) for that. "драгоценность" is too general and will confuse people, "драгоценный камень" is too long and can add confusion as well.
However, Russian has noun "ювелир" (jeweler), which is related to the English word by the same origin. I could make that word up ("ювель") based on how we got "ювелир", but it'll sound weird and cause even more confusion than "драгоценность".
I also could use some other word like "апатит" (apatite, a blue jewel), which seems to fix everything described earlier but it won't mean the same thing as English "jewel" does.

What shall I do in this situation? Leaving the whole mod untranslated (not just some strings from it) doesn't look like a solution for me.

The game deliberately is vague about which kind of jewel it has. It's not a scientific description of any real-world thing, it's just some kind of gem to upgrade tools with. What kind of gem exactly? This is open, so this means as a translator, you have a lot of liberty as well.

In the game, the jewel's main function is to upgrade tools, it is not really used as a currency for trading, thus I think that might rule out the "high value" interpretations.

But I can't really help you to pick a word, I'm not the translator, after all.

Well, yeah. That's the actual important part. I'll probably just leave it untranslated (after all. I won't be the only one)

@Wuzzy everything is done but this thing happens. IIRC these lines (with semicolons) already were in the template.txt. Shall I remove them or is it some sort of a bug?

Remove the semicolon lines. I made a mistake in the template which I will fix later.

OK, after merging I noticed a few missing strings in rp_partialblocks and rp_jewels and rp_itemshow. If you want to complete these missing strings, feel free to post a new PR. Just a reminder.

I know your problem with the jewels, but if you are confused by the other strings, just ask.

But if you decide to do nothing, that is fine, too, of course. It looks like we have 99% completion for Russian right now.

@rudzik8

Как насчёт "самоцветов"? Это достаточно многозначный термин, чтобы оставить в расплывчатом контексте. Думаю использовать этот термин для перевода "jewel".
