A key requirement of the milestone "The Golden Age" is to be better than Minetest Game in every aspect.
The game is not quite there yet. There are a few features in Minetest Game that Repixture has not, and I like to have them.
Minetest Game features I would like to have:
- (see list of issues assigned to the project)
Features that I might want (need to decide on that):
- (DONE!) Fence gates
- (?) Fence rails (but simplified)
- (?) Trapdoors
- (?) Placable bottles
- (?) xpanes
- (DONE!) Walls
- (?) Catchable fireflies and butterflies (but as entities)
Features I do not want:
- Bush stem and bush leaves
- Dyes
- Cart and rails
- Hoe / tilled land
- Corals
- The same biomes
- Dry shrub
- Lava
- Mese
- Destructive fire
- Bones

This project is completed when the game has enough interesting structures besides natural ones (trees, plants) to explore and loot.
This includes:
- Villages
- Ancient ruins
- Dungeons
- Lonely huts
A minimum of 10 structure types, including properly balanced loot and trading system, are required to complete this project.
This project is complete once the underground is more varied with more cave plants, biome-specific underground variations, maybe (!) unique ores, and more.
Possibly this includes more stone types as well for more building options.
This project is complete when the world has floating islands:
- Generating
- Properly designed and balanced
- Have unique loot, etc.
- A reasonable way to reach AND find them (probably hot air balloon?)
This project is done when the mobs have been completely reworked and when there is a healthy number of mobs in the game.
Requirements:
- Mobs mod has been reworked (done!)
- Mobs mod is bug-free
- Mobs Redo has been killed (done!)
- A decent number of mobs exist
- Mob spawning works (done!)
- Mob spawning is reasonable throughout the entire world and all biomes
- At least: Land, underground
- Villagers do more than just stand around (done!)
- Performance is OK (done!)
- ALL individual mobs are properly balanced and playtested
- This includes villager trades (at least roughly)
