Got the same issue with UNITY 3.6.4-0ubuntu1
I believe it to be hardware related. I tried the same disc on another
computer and it worked great.

Could be... The graphics hardware is:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G96 [GeForce 9500 GT] (rev a1)
I had this issue on a
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV730XT [Radeon HD 4670]
It seems like that bug is not fixed with unity-3.6.6 and libnux-0.9.34 : lp:737395.
I had a SIGSEGV in nux::Memcpy(), like reported in bug #737395 (marked as duplicate of this bug) .
Seems not fixed
