Il y a de plus en plus de distro. qui utilisent un disque squashfs pour y mettre la partition /. Il suffit dans la plupart des cas d'installer GRUB sur la clef USB, d'y reporter l'entrée isolinux ou GRUB du CD, puis d copier kernel, initrd et disque squashfs sur la clef pour avoir sa liveUSB.
