President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un crossed a line dividing the South and North Korean parts of
Panmunjeom in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
President Moon attended three rounds of high level discussions held on April 27 and May 26, 2018 at
Panmunjeom, located in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, and on September 18 to 20, 2018 at Pyongyang, North Korea to meet with Chairman Kim Jong-un of the Democratic Republic of Korea.
The state -run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) carried the text of the leaders'
Panmunjeom Declaration in full and said the meeting opened the way "for national reconciliation and unity, peace and prosperity".
It said in a statement that Kang "reviewed the
Panmunjeom Declaration and the efforts to improve North-South relations while achieving the common goal of denuclearization.

The two leaders, Moon and Kim, held an inter-Korean summit at the Peace House on the southern side of
Panmunjeom located in the DMZ - the symbol of the two Koreas' division - and announced their commitment to the 'complete denuclearization' of the Korean Peninsula in their joint
Panmunjeom Declaration.
The South Korean and North Korean leaders, Moon Jae-in and Kim Jong-un, met in the border village of
Panmunjeom for a historic summit, the first in more than a decade.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will first meet at the Military Demarcation Line that separates the truce village of
Panmunjeom.
The man tried to cross the Imjin River near Paju -- a city located near the de facto border at
Panmunjeom -- at 2:23 p.m., with soldiers firing off warning shots and telling him to return to South Korea.
''He (Ban) has taken note of the meeting that ended today,'' he added, referring to the two-day preliminary talks held at the inter-Korean truce village
Panmunjeom, which were to lay the groundwork for the holding of higher-level talks.
