Research on Theorizing Intervention Approaches Adopted in Natural Resource Management for Enhancing Climate Change Resilience

This study aims to clarify how the concept of "resilience" to climate change, which is used in the field of natural environment conservation, can be used to solve problems at the field level. In the context of strengthening resilience to climate change, the aim of this study is to analyze the causal relationships that are believed to exist between concepts, activities, and results, and to theorize a methodology for field activities that can address problems. Specifically, using technical cooperation projects implemented in Asia and Africa as case studies, the study aims to (1) logically systematize the relationships of the planning, implementation, and results of sustainable natural resource management to strengthen climate change resilience and present it as a methodology for strengthening resilience, and (2) examine how the presented methodology is positioned in the policy context of the project implementing countries and whether it can contribute to the achievement of climate change policy goals, and to formulate concrete policy recommendations.
