Previous research
I joined the Institute of Developing Economies JETRO in 1995 and have been studying the Philippine political economy ever since. I have also conducted research on various aspects of the Philippine economy, including a study on the country’s public sector and privatization; analyses of macroeconomic, industrial, and corporate trends; and a study on labor issues as well.
Current research projects
I am continuously focusing on current affairs of Philippine political economy. My interests expand to the field of economic policy, industry and corporate sector, labor market, and some social issues all within the context of Philippines’ history of economic development as well as the interactions between its politics and the economy.
