Previous research

I have been studying Cuba's economy with a particular focus on the progress of economic liberalization and its impacts. Specifically, I have analyzed the effects of one of Cuba’s key liberalization policies: land reform. During my master's program, I examined how the land reforms since 2008 influenced agricultural productivity from the perspective of development economics

In developing countries, including Cuba, land reform is considered a crucial policy for economic development. Given the data limitations in Cuba, I recognized the importance of conducting an empirical analysis of the reform while ensuring alignment with the country’s actual conditions.

Currently, in my doctoral studies, I am expanding my research to examine the effects of land reform on child health outcomes.
