Feminist movements in Turkey and the adoption of global concepts

Outline

This study aims to situate the process of translation and acceptance of various concepts of global feminism by the Turkish feminist movement in the history of feminist movements and ideas by critically examining the process and issues from the perspective of Third World feminist theory. The focus of the analysis will be on the process of introducing the concepts of "honor killing" and "femicide." This study will be based on a literature study, including an analysis of publications of feminist organizations, and interviews with feminist movement figures.
