The Dynamics of the Predominant Party System: The Case of Turkey

Outline

How is it possible for a particular political party to win parliamentary majority three or more times in a row while competitive elections are repeated? The existence of a one-party system is one of the wonders of a democratic system. In this study, we examine the factors that determine the establishment, establishment, and decline of the one-party system using quantitative and qualitative methods, using Turkey as a typical example, where this system has continued for the past 20 years. The contents of the Japanese book scheduled to be published in February 2023 will be updated in English based on the results of the presidential and parliamentary elections to be held by May 2023.
