The Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Foreign-trained Nurses' Career Development and Retention in the Nursing Workforce(2022_2_40_019)

Outline

The demand for nurses has been increasing in many developed countries. The recruitment of foreign-trained nurses is one solution to meet this increasing demand. The aim of this research project is to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the career development of foreign-trained nurses and their retention in the nursing workforce in the nurse-receiving country. The case is drawn from Indian-trained migrant nurses working in the health and long-term care sectors in the United Kingdom.
