The Predominant Party System in Turkey(2020_2_40_008)
Outline
In general, why does the same political party win the majority of the national legislature for three consecutive elections, which are generally free and fair? The fact that half of the consolidated democracies have experienced a PPS ?suggests that the presence of such is not accidental but requires logical explanation. This research project examines the factors that affect PPS ?emergence, consolidation, and decline using Turkey as a case study, where the PPS has lasted for the past 17 years.
