Sharing Greenhouse Gas Emissions along Global Value Chains: An Upgraded Algorithm and Its Applications (2020_1_40_008)

Outline

This research is an updating of the previous project of "Tracing Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Determining Responsibility in Global Value Chains." We aim to improve our GVC-based emissions-responsibility-sharing algorithm, for which it can be relatively easier to achieve consensus between developed and developing countries both in terms of control of self-responsibility and sharing the responsibility of emissions in the post-Paris Agreement era. We also renew our database, and we test robustness for the assumptions and parameters used.

Period

April 2020 - March 2021
