Development of Economic Diplomacy in post-war Thai-Japan Relation (2020_1_40_001)

Outline

This project aims to publish an academic paper on post-war Thai-Japan relations and the significance of this on Thai foreign policy as a whole. Thai diplomacy studies have clarified the development of Thai politico-military relations with superpowers such as the U.S. and China but did not pay enough attention to economic relations and to meaning as related wholly to Thai diplomatic relations. The paper attempts to re-examine post-war Thai diplomatic relations from economic aspects by studying Thai-Japan relations, which largely stand in the domain of economic issues such as trade, investment, and development assistance.
