Islam and Socio-political Change in Africa (2018_2_40_001)

Outline
Recent activities of several Islamist militant groups in Sub-Saharan Africa pose the problems of terrorism and armed conflict. Furthermore, they also require researchers to fully reinvestigate what role has Islam been playing in the political development and social changes in Sub-Saharan Africa. This study tries to tackle with this relatively uninvestigated subject in the hope of identifying major topics for further research.
