Law and Society in the Philippines during the 3-decade-long Re-democratization Period

Outline

It has been 30 years since the re-democratization began in the Philippines after the regime collapse of the former President Marcos. During these 3 decades, the significance of the rule of law has increased and successive judicial reforms have been propelled forward. In this study and research, we aim to give a full-length portrait of the changes with regard to the judicial system of the Philippines under the current constitution established in 1987. More precisely, we will review and verify the current issues concerning judicial reforms, focusing on the 3 fields of "nation and laws", "market and laws", and "society and laws".
