Compilation of Asian International Input-Output Tables: Issues and Extensions

Outline

This study conducts theoretical and empirical investigations into the issues concerning the compilation methodologies used for the international input-output tables for the Asia-Pacific region that have been compiled by IDE-JETRO (e.g. how to determine sector classification, estimation of trade matrices, how to conduct special surveys, etc.). The study will contribute to achieving more accurate analyses by using international input-output tables for the Asian-Pacific region by identifying the assumptions of the tables as well as describing the detailed compilation process.
