Trade Standard Compliance Report in Asia: Preliminary Data Analysis and Case Studies from a Supply Chain Perspective
Outline
The objective of this research project is to deepen our understanding concerning the impact of regulations/standards on international trade with specific focus on agriculture and the food industry through the construction of rejection data that can be used for empirical research (needs to be updated every year) and the accumulation of case studies from the supply chain perspective. This research project aims to achieve the following three objectives: 1) construction of border rejection data for empirical analysis based on published data from regulatory authorities in the EU, US, and Japan and updating of this data every year; 2) empirical studies to analyze the impact of regulations/standards on international trade based on the above data; and 3) accumulation of case studies on agriculture and food supply chains in developing countries.
