Female International Migration: A Case of Nurse Migration from Kerala, India

Outline

This research aims to understand female international migration with a focus on nurse migration from Kerala, India. Based on a survey of nurses, this research project will explore the factors, processes and consequences of Kerala nurse migration by paying attention to the migration patterns, gender aspects, and a wide range of other factors. Moreover, the socio-economic impact of migration on the household, as well as on the economy, will be investigated.
