Read & Publish Agreements

"Read and Publish" agreements are contracts between institutions and publishers that allow researchers to read articles in subscription journals and publish articles in open-access journals with no article processing charges (APCs), but page and supplemental charges may be applicable

The IISc has signed "Read and Publish" / "Subscribe to open" (S2O) agreements with the following publishers:

• ACM Digital Library (ONOS Resource)

• American Physiological Society (APS)

• Cambridge University Press (ONOS Resource))

• EDP Sciences (Astronomy and Astrophysics)

• Company of Biologists

• Microbiology Society

• Rockefeller University Press

• The Royal Society

These agreements provide IISc researchers with several benefits, including:

• Access to a more significant number of open-access journals

• No article processing charges (APCs), but page and supplemental charges may be applicable

• Increased visibility for their research

• Comply with funder requirements
