Tahani has over 15 years of experience in digital and tech policy and regulation across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Her current work at the ADB focuses on digital policy, regulation and infrastructure. Before joining the ADB, she was part of Meta’s (Facebook) APAC Connectivity and Access Policy Team where she led infrastructure and connectivity policy initiatives and accessibility efforts in the region. Prior to that, she worked as a regulatory and policy specialist at Axiata Group Berhad in Malaysia, providing support to the Group’s telecom and digital investments across South and South East Asia.
Tahani has also worked at the World Bank as a Consultant, the Singapore Internet Research Centre (SIRC) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, and at LIRNEasia, a regional digital policy advocacy think tank based in Sri Lanka. She is a published author on topics related to the telecommunications sector. Tahani holds a Master in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore and a BSc in Economics and Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London.
