Lu has worked in public sector and private sector operations including sovereign lending and project finance, and is currently focused on developing water PPPs in Asia and the Pacific. In the water sector, she has experience in water and wastewater management and desalination, having financed projects in over 15 countries in Asia and Latin America.

Investments in safe, adequate and affordable water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities must be sustained and result in improved services and a less polluted environment for everyone, particularly the poorest and most vulnerable in Asia and the Pacific.
The challenge lies in aligning consumer perception with the true value of water, emphasizing its importance in daily life and the need for responsible payment behaviors.
