Dr. Johannes Hunink is an expert in water resources and climate change, with two decades of international experience in research and consultancy on integrated water resources management, climate resilience, and sustainable development. His expertise covers climate risk and vulnerability assessments, flood and drought hazard mapping, the water-energy-food-ecosystem nexus, and hydrological ecosystem services. With a strong foundation in computational geography, he specializes in leveraging satellite data, remote sensing, and advanced modeling techniques to support investment planning and adaptation, and has supported the ADB in a wide range of projects.
