Gohar Tadevosyan

Senior Social Development Specialist, ADB Sectors Department

Gohar Tadevosyan has over 25 years of experience in social development She joined ADB in 2014, where she works to ensure that urban and social sector projects in the East Asia Department are inclusive, people-centered, and sustainable. From 2021 to 2023, she served as project team leader for projects in the People's Republic of China and Mongolia.

In her current role, she leads the implementation of ADB’s enhanced Poverty and Social Analysis (PSA) approach and the new poverty and inclusion classification system. She has played a key role in strengthening ADB's focus on poverty reduction and social inclusion, ensuring the perspectives of poor, vulnerable and socially excluded groups are meaningfully reflected into operations for more equitable and inclusive development outcomes.

Before ADB, she was an Associate Professor at Yerevan State University, Armenia, and a recognized expert in applied social research and assessment. She holds a Doctoral degree and a Diploma in Sociology from Yerevan State University.
