Cesaire MEH leads a team providing economic research and analysis supporting IFC’s investments, advisory work, and private capital mobilization. He joined IFC after a two-decade career at the Bank of Canada, where he held senior roles in operations and research. As Senior Research Officer, he guided macroprudential policy and financial stability priorities and was the Managing Director of the International Economic Analysis Department, informing monetary policy decisions. Dr. Meh was a Visiting Research Scholar at Princeton University in 2018. He has published extensively in scholarly journals. Dr. Meh holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, with expertise in macro-finance, monetary policy, financial stability, capital markets, banking, and entrepreneurship.
