Bert Fabian

Senior Transport Specialist, ADB's Transport Sector Office

Bert joined ADB in Jan 2025 supporting knowledge management, capacity building, and project pipeline development on transport decarbonization. He served the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) from 2013 to 2024 supporting transport, air quality, and climate change projects focusing on Asia and the Pacific. He was a Coordinator of an intergovernmental body, hosted by UNEP, on air pollution and acid deposition in East Asia (EANET) comprising 13 participating countries from 2022-2024. He led UNEP’s activities in Asia and the Pacific on sustainable and low-emissions transport from 2013-2022. Prior to joining UNEP, he was the Transport Program Manager of Clean Air Asia, an international non-governmental organization promoting better air quality, and healthier, more livable cities in the region. Bert has a master’s degree on Urban and Regional Planning major in Transportation, and a B.S. Biology degree from the University of the Philippines.
